Rosscup has made 120 relief appearances in the majors since 2013 and inked a minor league contract with the Astros back in mid-March. The 34-year-old veteran lefty has been jettisoned after compiling a 3.10 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 35/17 K/BB ratio across 29 innings (26 appearances) this season for Triple-A Sugar Land.

The 33-year-old tossed just three innings at the major league level last year, allowing one earned run. Rosscup carries a career 5.09 ERA and 1.64 WHIP over seven seasons.

Rosscup provided the Rockies with some much-needed bullpen depth while they worked through a COVID spread. The veteran southpaw has a career 5.09 ERA in 86 2/3 major league innings.

It's an all hands on deck situation for the Rockies with several bullpen arms headed to the COVID-19 injured list on Friday. Rosscup, who hasn't pitched in the big leagues since 2019, owns a 5.16 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 113/55 K/BB ratio over 83 2/3 innings at the big league level in his career.
