Mets released RHP Yoan López.

Yoan López has signed a contract with the Yomiuri Giants of Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball.

Yoan López will serve as the 29th man for the Mets in Wednesday's doubleheader at Pittsburgh.

Yoan López will serve as the Mets' 27th man for Saturday's doubleheader against the Braves.
