Ramos was released by the Rangers at the conclusion of last season and hasn’t played in the majors since undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee back in 2021 when he was with Cleveland.

Ramos signed a minor league contract with the Rangers back in late August and never wound up making it back to the majors. The 35-year-old veteran catcher tore the ACL in his left knee last September with Cleveland and there's a strong possibility that his career is over. We'll see if he manages to find a new opportunity this offseason.

Ramos tore his left ACL last August with the Guardians and it appears possible that his career would be over. The 35-year-old veteran backstop will head to Triple-A Round Rock and could wind up making it back to the majors later this season.

Ramos suffered the ACL tear -- and an MCL sprain -- back in late August. He's already needed two previous ACL repairs on his right knee, and this latest procedure on his left knee could very well threaten his career. The veteran catcher slashed just .205/.248/.397 over 163 plate appearances this season between the Tigers and Indians.
