Harris has experienced several setbacks in his recovery from last summer's surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome and also underwent right pectoral surgery back in March. It appears unlikely that he'll make it back to the Nationals' bullpen this season.

Harris actually pitched there on Wednesday night and it did not go well, as he was charged with three earned runs on three hits while recording only one out. The veteran reliever has been out all season following an April cleanup procedure related to last year's surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome.

Harris has been out all season after having surgery to remove scar tissue following last year's thoracic outlet operation. It would appear he might finally be close to a rehab assignment.

He's unlikely to return to the Nationals' bullpen before early June.
