Wade Davis has announced his retirement from baseball.

Royals transferred RHP Wade Davis from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list. 

Royals placed RHP Wade Davis on the 10-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation.

Wade Davis took the loss in the 10th inning Thursday against the Astros, giving up three runs -- two earned -- without retiring a batter.
