Tyler Anderson tossed 5 2/3 scoreless innings on Saturday in a win over the Astros.
Tyler Anderson pitched well in a no-decision against the Guardians on Sunday afternoon, allowing just two runs on one hit over his five innings of work.
The 35-year-old southpaw did struggle with his command a bit in this one, issuing four free passes, while striking out five. The Guardians scratched out a run in the opening inning without the benefit of a hit, then Anderson served up a solo homer to Kyle Manzardo in the fourth inning. He generated 10 swings and misses on 81 pitches on the afternoon — six of them on his changeup — while posting a CSW of 32 percent. He’ll carry a 4.50 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and a difficult matchup against the Astros in Houston on Saturday.
Tyler Anderson gave up three runs over five innings Monday against the Cardinals.
Lars Nootbaar and Brendan Donovan hit solo shots in the first two innings. Anderson allowed four other hits and a couple of walks, but he limited the damage otherwise. There’s nothing much at all here to like fantasy-wise. He’ll face the Guardians next time out.
Tyler Anderson pitched six innings of one-run ball against the Guardians on Wednesday.
With the Guardians’ veteran regulars playing in the team’s other split-squad game, Anderson struck out three today and lowered his spring ERA from 10.64 to 7.41. A Kyle Manzardo triple was the only extra-base hit he allowed.
