This will be Morimando's third stint with the CTBC Brothers after spending the summer pitching for the SSG Landers of the Korean Baseball Organization. The 30-year-old southpaw had a 2.56 ERA and 1.19 WHIP across 91 1/3 innings in the CPBL and a 1.67 ERA and 1.06 WHIP across 75 1/3 innings in the KBO.

Morimando made four relief appearances last year with the Marlins and was pitching for the CTBC Brothers of the Chinese Professional Baseball League this season.

Morimando latched on in the CPBL last October after making four major-league appearances with the Marlins during the 2021 campaign. The 29-year-old left-hander allowed 11 runs on 18 hits with a 9/5 K/BB ratio across 10 1/3 innings (four appearances, one start). He also logged 19 appearances (16 starts) at Triple-A Jacksonville before being released in early October. A minor-league journeyman at this stage of his career, he'll look to build up his value overseas next year.
