Carle, 29, has been at Triple-A in three different organizations this season, holds a 5.18 ERA over 27 appearances. He'll now look for a fourth.

Carle spent time with the Mariners and Reds organizations, making 21 relief appearances at the Triple-A level earlier this season. He'll serve as organizational relief depth moving forward.

Carle signed a minor league deal with Seattle just a few weeks ago and had made two scoreless relief appearances with the club's Triple-A affiliate in Tacoma, but he is now back on the open market. The 29-year-old right-hander has not pitched in a game at the major legue level since he yielded 10 earned runs over 9 1/3 innings of relief with the Braves in 2019.

Carle did not pitch professionally in 2020 and surrendered 10 earned runs over just 9 1/3 innings of work with the Braves in 2019. The 29-year-old seems doubtful to crack the Opening Day roster in Cincinnati.
