Haggerty is coming off a lost season after tearing his Achilles in May. He has a career .232/.312/.351 slash line in 202 MLB games with nine home runs and 17 steals. He’s a versatile defender with good speed, which provides value but he has an uphill battle to earn playing time in Texas.

The versatile 30-year-old was projected by MLBTradeRumors.com to earn $900,000 via the arbitration process. He wound up appearing in just eight games for the Mariners during the 2024 season, hitting .067 (1-for-15) with one RBI, one stolen base an a 4/1 K/BB ratio. He also suffered a ruptured Achilles in May that cost him the remainder of the season. Haggerty’s speed always makes him an interesting deep-league commodity from a fantasy perspective, but he’s nowhere close to receiving regular at-bats at the big-league level right now.
