2024 Player Outlook
2023 Recap: Ryan Jeffers retooled his swing after the 2022 season responded with his best season yet. His .276/.369/.490 line over 335 plate appearances was good for a .369 wOBA and a 138 wRC+, which was tied with Texas’ Mitch Garver for the best rate of offensive production among catchers with at least 300 PA last season. By the end of the season, Jeffers was the Twins starting catcher and he started all of their playoff games.
2024 Outlook: Now we cannot expect another .369wOBA and 138wRC+ in 2024 and we cannot just assume that he will hit like Mitch Garver again, but data does suggest it is reasonable to expect Ryan Jeffers to be an above-average offensive bat worthy of solid fantasy value.
