Mariners released RHP Ryan Dull.
Dull held a 6.06 ERA over 28 appearances for Triple-A Tacoma. He hasn't been able to replicate the success he had early on in his career with the A's.
Robert Murray of Fansided reports that the Mariners have signed Ryan Dull to a minor league contract.
Dull, 31, has not pitched in the majors since 2019, when he appeared in 11 games for the Athletics, Blue Jays and Yankees; respectively. He'll likely report to Triple-A Tacoma and be organizational depth for the remainder of the 2021 campaign.
Ryan Dull has agreed to a deal with the Winnipeg Goldeyes of the independent American Association.
Dull was with the Blue Jays organization on a minor league contract in 2020 but did not make the team's 60-man player pool when the MLB season finally got underway. The now 31-year-old right-hander surrendered 19 runs -- 18 earned -- over 12 2/3 innings of relief between the Athletics, Yankees, and Jays in 2019.
Dull signed a minor-league contract with the Blue Jays on Saturday, freelance baseball writer Robert Murray reports.
Dull was designated for assignment by the Blue Jays in October, but he'll return to the organization after posting a 12.79 ERA over 12.2 innings with the Yankees, Athletics and Blue Jays last season. The right-hander appeared in major-league camp during spring training. However, the 30-year-old will likely begin the season in the minors after he struggled to limit production in 2019.
