Bolaños was released last month by the Royals and has found a new opportunity with the Marlins. The 26-year-old righty provides Miami with some extra organizational relief depth. He's made 18 appearances (five starts) in the majors since 2019.

Bolaños has been removed from the Royals' 40-man roster to make room for Kansas City to bring up first base prospect Vinnie Pasquantino from Triple-A Omaha. The 25-year-old righty has posted a respectable 4.42 ERA, 1.75 WHIP and 12/12 K/BB ratio across 18 1/3 innings (eight appearances) this season. He's made 18 appearances (five starts) in the majors dating back to 2019.
