Rio Ruiz has signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Ruiz split time between the Rockies and Orioles during the 2021 campaign, slashing .168/.243/.273 with three homers and two steals across 141 plate appearances. The 27-year-old infielder has struggled defensively, but possesses enough over-the-fence pop to make some noise in Korea next season.

It's a good move for the 27-year-old Ruiz, who has spent parts of the last six seasons in the majors but has struggled to establish himself. Overall, he's hit .212/.287/.357 in 849 at-bats for the Braves, Orioles and Rockies.
