Delgado failed to break camp with the White Sox this spring and will now look to get his career back on track outside of affiliated baseball. The 29-year-old has a respectable 4.10 ERA over parts of eight big-league seasons, but his poor 4.76 ERA in 11.1 frames of relief for the Diamondbacks last season was not backed up by his 7.31 FIP or his 5:6 K:BB.

Delgado didn't make much of a case for a roster spot this spring, allowing six runs in five innings of work. He was sent to minor-league camp on Friday but won't stick around there either, so he'll have to look elsewhere for his next job.

Delgado joined the White Sox on a minor-league deal in January and allowed six runs on eight hits across five innings during spring training. The 29-year-old should serve as organizational pitching depth at Triple-A for the White Sox.

Oblique and shoulder injuries limited Delgado to just 10 appearances with the Diamondbacks in 2018. When healthy, he posted an unimpressive 4.76 ERA and 5:6 K:BB across 11.1 innings. Delgado figures to compete for an Opening Day role in the team's bullpen as a swingman.
