Reds declined to tender Ramon Cabrera and he is now a free agent.
Cabrera was the backup catcher to Tucker Barnhart but couldn't separate himself and ultimately proved to be the less valuable asset.

Ramon Cabrera was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI in the Reds 6 - 1 loss to the A’s on Sunday.
It cannot be a very good offensive performance when the backup catcher is the highlight performance. But Cincinnati only scored one run on Sunday and Ramon Cabrera drove it in with a double. He finished the day with two hits and joined Joey Votto as the only other Red with a multi-hit game. Cabrera is now hitting 5-for-18 (.278) in June with three runs, two doubles and four RBI for the Reds.

Cabrera, who's mostly been an offensive minded catcher throughout his professional career, will get the chance to backup Tucker Barnhart for now until Mesoraco returns to full health.
