Quinn Priester yielded two runs in four innings Monday in a no-decision versus the Giants.

Priester didn’t give up much hard contact, but he did walk four, which resulted in a pair of runs when combined with the four singles. He has a 1.93 ERA in three starts for the Brewers, but his rotation spot could be in jeopardy once Brandon Woodruff is activated. He’ll keep trying to add to his case to stick around against the Cardinals this weekend.

Quinn Priester delivered an impressive performance in Tuesday’s victory over the Tigers, allowing just one hit and three walks over his five-plus innings of work.

The 24-year-old right-hander struck out four batters during the outstanding outing. He carried a no-hit bid into the sixth inning where he exited after allowing a leadoff double to Gleyber Torres. Priester generated seven swings and misses on 84 pitches on the night, registering a CSW of 24 percent. Through two starts with the Brewers he holds a terrific 0.90 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and an 8/5 K/BB ratio over 10 frames. Even with reinforcements coming to the Brewers’ rotation, they’re going to find a spot for Priester if he continues to pitch like this. His next test will come on Monday against the Giants in San Francsico.

Quinn Priester was terrific in his Brewers’ debut on Thursday, allowing just one run on five hits over five frames in a no-decision against the Rockies.

Priester allowed a pair of walks in the contest while punching out four. The game started out very poorly for him as Brenton Doyle swatted a leadoff home run to kick off the home half of the first inning, but Priester settled in nicely afterwards and kept the Rockies’ offense at bay the rest of the way. He got seven whiffs on 72 pitches on the afternoon, posting a CSW of 24 percent. Given the dearth of injuries that the Brewers are dealing with in their rotation, expect the 24-year-old hurler to get another opportunity on Tuesday against the Tigers.

Quinn Priester will make his season debut on Thursday against the Rockies.

It’s a tough draw for Priester as he’ll take the ball at Coors Field for his season debut just a couple days after being shipped over from the Red Sox. The 24-year-old righty was unable to crack Boston’s injury-depleted season-opening rotation and the organization decides to move on. He’ll presumably have an opportunity to contribute for the Brewers at least until they get some of their injured starters back in a couple weeks. He’s not a recommended streaming option for fantasy managers.
