Nate Jones has officially retired from baseball at age 35.
The news comes via his agent, Joe Speed, on Twitter. Jones, who made 20 appearances between the Braves and Dodgers this season before landing back in free agency in June, finishes with a 3.45 ERA across 329 career major league innings -- 291 1/3 of them with the White Sox.

Jones chose to test the open market rather than join Triple-A Oklahoma City after passing through waivers late last week. The southpaw allowed nine runs -- eight earned -- in 8 2/3 innings during his time with the Dodgers.
