Mike Trout (knee) went through on-field agility drills on Tuesday at Petco Park.
Trout remains without a definitive return timetable at the moment, but the fact he’s progressed to on-field drills suggests that he’s not too far away from heading out on a minor league rehab assignment. The 33-year-old superstar has been swinging a bat without any issues, but hasn’t been able to run at full speed yet. He’s been out since April 30 after suffering a bone bruise in his surgically-repaired left knee.
Mike Trout (knee) is scheduled to run on an Alter G (zero gravity) treadmill on Monday.
Angels manager Ron Washington told reporters they’ll see how Trout fares before making a decision on his next steps. The 33-year-old generation superstar remains without a definitive return timetable after hitting the injured list back on May 2 with a bone bruise in his left knee.
Mike Trout (knee) told reporters that he’s feeling good and could start running next week.
Trout has already begun hitting, which is obviously a positive sign. The 33-year-old doesn’t have a timetable for a return, and it seems likely that he’ll need at least a week or two more before he’s ready to hit in the middle of the Angels’ lineup.
Angels placed OF Mike Trout on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 1, with a left knee contusion.
As anticipated, the 33-year-old superstar lands on the injured list once again, this time due to a bone bruise in his surgically repaired left knee. Kyren Paris and Gustavo Campero are expected to see additional time in the outfield while Trout is sidelined. Given his extensive injury history, there’s no reason to expect that Trout will be ready to be activated as soon as he’s eligible to return.
