Mike Trout hit a pair of solo homers in the Angels’ 3-2 loss to the Giants on Saturday.
Trout passed Tim Raines for 68th place on the all-time homer list with the pair of roundtrippers. He’s already up to eight blasts on the season, and he’s plated 16 in the first 19 games of 2025. Trout’s batting average is still an issue, but the talent is still obviously there. It’s fun to see after his injury-riddled past few campaigns.
Mike Trout delivered a two-run single on Saturday, leading the Angels to a 4-1 win over the Angels.
Trout kicked off the scoring with a two-run single against Astros rookie starter Ryan Gusto in the opening frame. He was also involved in a bizarre play in the second inning where a fan appeared to dislodge a ball from his glove while reaching out into foul territory down the right-field line. The 33-year-old fantasy stalwart is tied for the major-league lead with six round-trippers in 14 games and his plate skills have been extremely impressive so far. If he can stay remotely healthy, he’s going to deliver a true bounce-back season for fantasy purposes.
Mike Trout went 1-for-4 with a solo home run on Friday against the Astros.
Don’t look now, but Trout tied the major league lead with this blast. At the time, it pulled the Angels to a 1-1 tie early in this game before the Astros unleashed their wrath on Jack Kochanowicz and the Angels bullpen. Nevertheless, it’s amazing to see Trout healthy and mashing for the time being. Fingers crossed he can stay on the field and we get one more vintage season from Trout.
Mike Trout homered twice and drove in three runs in an 11-1 shellacking of the Rays on Thursday.
