Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the Royals and outfielder Michael A. Taylor have reached an agreement on a two-year, $9 million contract extension.
The 30-year-old has been one of the best defensive center fielders in the game this season while slashing .244/.298/.359 with 12 homers, 52 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 137 games. The deal will keep him in Kansas City through the 2023 season.
