2024 Player Outlook
2023 Recap: After missing all of 2022, Conforto played in 125 games for the Giants last season, slashing .239/.334/.384 with 15 home runs, 58 runs scored, and 58 RBI. His expected statistics were higher than his actual numbers, and compared to his numbers before his shoulder injury, his batted ball metrics were largely similar. His power numbers waned as the season went on, as he hit just two home runs with a .333 SLG and .104 ISO from August 1 on.
2024 Outlook: Conforto's .219 average, 28.4 percent strikeout rate, and 66 wRC+ against lefties have him destined for the larger side of a platoon in 2024. He'll start and hit around the middle of the order when facing a right-handed starter, and those in OBP leagues will want to bump up Conforto a few notches, especially in NL-only settings. It's not the friendliest of home parks for Conforto, and just six of his 15 home runs came at home last year, but being another year removed from his shoulder injury, I could see him getting to 16-18 home runs this year, and maybe flirting with 20 long balls, with a double-digit walk rate and .340+ OBP.
