2025 Player Outlook
Over the last two season we have seen the ceiling and the floor of Matt Olson. If your floor is 29 homers with almost 100 RBIs and 162 games played you should feel pretty safe about Matt Olson. We may not see another 2023 season out of him, but I think he could be somewhere in between the last two seasons which would still make him one of the best power hitters in all of baseball with a ridiculous amount of runs and RBIs on a great Braves team.

Matt Olson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk on Friday against the Dodgers.
Olson’s home run was the extent of the Braves’ offense here as they were completely stifled by Yoshinobu Yamamoto. He also drew a walk in the ninth inning, but was stranded at first base. While his .236 batting average has lagged a bit beneath his projections, he has a hit in 20 of his last 26 games since the calendar turned to April and will very likely wind up as one of the most productive run producers in the league when all is said and done this season.
Matt Olson went 3-for-5 with a double and three runs scored in the Braves’ 8-2 win over the Rockies on Tuesday.
Olson had a good day at the plate in Colorado, putting together just his third multi-hit game of the season and first three-hit effort. He’d came around to score all three times he reached base. The 31-year-old slugger is slashing .240/.378/.404 with four homers, 17 runs scored, and 15 RBI across 127 plate appearances.
Matt Olson went 1-for-4 and blasted his fourth home run of the season on Tuesday as the Braves fell to the Cardinals.
Olson tagged Cardinals’ starter Andre Pallante for a 390-foot (102.8 mph EV) solo shot in the fifth inning that increased the Braves’ early lead to 4-2. That would wind up being the extent of their offense though, Olson also drew a walk in the ballgame, reaching base safely in two of his four plate appearances. On the season, the 31-year-old slugger is now hitting .238/.378/.438 with four long balls and 15 RBI.
Matt Olson swatted his first home run of the season and drove in three on Friday night in a lopsided victory over the Marlins.
Olson went back-to-back with teammate Marcell Ozuna off of George Soriano in the seventh inning, with his 434-foot (113.4 mph EV) bomb increasing the Braves’ advantage to 5-0. He also added a two-run single in the eighth inning and scored on an RBI knock by Drake Baldwin. He finished the night 2-for-5 and is now hitting .222/.382/.444 with one homer and five RBI on the young season.
