2025 Player Outlook
Marcell Ozuna is set to bring his power bat to fantasy lineups again in 2025 after a resurgent 2024 campaign where he re-established himself as a middle-of-the-order threat. His ability to produce 35+ home runs and 100+ RBIs makes him a valuable power asset. While we should expect some regression for the 34-year-old he can come down quite a bit from the 39 homers and .302 average he put up last season and still be incredibly valuable.

Marcell Ozuna went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in a 6-2 win over the Twins on Sunday.
Ozuna took Joe Ryan deep for his fourth home run of the season and also notched a 108.1 mph groundout on the day. Ozuna missed the first part of the week while recovering from a hip injury, but he had two hits in Saturday’s game and now a home run on Sunday. It seems like he’s healthy and back to his normal self.
Marcell Ozuna (hip) went -for-3 with a walk and also scored a run on Friday against the Twins in his return to the lineup.
Ozuna made his return to Atlanta’s lineup for Friday’s showdown at Truist Park after sitting out the club’s previous three-game series north of the border against the Blue Jays due to hip inflammation. The fact that a precautionary MRI earlier this week didn’t reveal any underlying structural issues is extremely encouraging and fantasy managers shouldn’t anticipate the veteran slugger missing any additional games.
Marcell Ozuna did not travel to Toronto and underwent an MRI on Monday that revealed hip inflammation.
Fantasy managers should prioritize getting Ozuna out of their weekly lineups before they lock on Monday evening. The 34-year-old veteran slugger will miss the club’s three-game series against the Blue Jays with hip inflammation and won’t return until Friday’s series opener versus the Twins, assuming he doesn’t require a trip to the injured list. It’s a developing situation that fantasy managers should monitor closely over the remainder of the week.
Marcell Ozuna is absent from the lineup for Monday’s series opener against the Blue Jays with a minor leg issue.
It’s merely an extra off day for Ozuna, who is dealing with a minor leg issue, according to manager Brian Snitker. Fantasy managers should keep a close eye on his status over the remainder of the week, but Snitker downplayed concern about the issue prior to Monday’s contest in Toronto. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. It’ll be Bryan De La Cruz taking a turn at DH on Monday night.
