2025 Player Outlook
Machado has been incredibly consistent and durable over the last 10 seasons, as he has logged over 600 plate appearances and hit at least 28 home runs in nine of those seasons. He is still in the prime of his career as he enters his age-32 season, and his average exit velocity still ranks among the best in the game. He should enjoy another fine season entrenched at the hot corner in San Diego.

Manny Machado went hitless on Wednesday and is in a 3-for-21 slump.
It’s dropped his OPS from .914 to .799. Machado might be a little banged up. No one has said anything about it yet, but he DH’d yesterday and he was lifted for a pinch-hitter with the Padres down 6-0 in the ninth today. Or maybe injury had nothing to do with it: Fernando Tatis Jr. was also lifted two batters earlier, as the Padres seemingly decided a six-run lead was impossible to overcome.
Manny Machado went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in the Padres’ 4-2 defeat of the Cubs on Wednesday.
Machado had already been hitting with RISP, but he wasn’t getting a ton of chances. He capitalized twice today to bring his season total to nine RBI in 19 games. There’s nothing wrong with that, of course. It just seems like he should have more while batting .324 with two homers overall and .389 with runners in scoring position for the team with the best record in baseball.
Manny Machado went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Cubs on Tuesday.
After his at-bat was extended by a foul pop error in the fifth inning, Machado broke a scoreless game with a solo homer off Shota Imanaga. It would be his only hit of the game and the only run the Padres would score as they lose just their fourth game of the season. Machado is hitting .313/.387/.507 with the two homers, 16 runs scored, and six steals across 75 plate appearances.
Manny Machado went 1-for-5 with a solo homer against the Athletics on Tuesday.
Machado put the Padres on the board early, taking Jeffrey Springs deep for a solo homer in the first inning. It was the first home run of the season for the 32-year-old third baseman. Machado is slashing a strong .319/.360/.489 over 50 plate appearances while collecting five steals in the early going.
