White Sox released RHP Alex Colomé.
Colomé made four relief appearances earlier this season for the White Sox before being sent back to the minors. The 34-year-old veteran right-hander has been cut loose after pitching to the tune of a solid 3.24 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 26/15 K/BB ratio across 33 1/3 innings (33 appearances) for Triple-A Charlotte.
White Sox sent RHP Alexander Colomé outright to Triple-A Charlotte.
Colomé went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment earlier this week and is now off Chicago's 40-man roster entirely. The 34-year-old veteran right-hander has the ability to elect free agency, but might wind up sticking around at Triple-A Charlotte as extra organizational relief depth.

Colome lasted just eight days in his return to the White Sox. He allowed four runs -- two earned -- in three innings over four appearances.

Colomé signed a minor league contract with the White Sox last month after being released by the Nationals at the conclusion of spring training. The 34-year-old veteran right-hander will be available out of the bullpen for Tuesday's series opener against the division-rival Twins.
