Maybe throwing Gibson into the fire like this after just 12 innings in the minors was a bad idea. The 37-year-old righty gave up four homers in the first and one more in the second and became the first Orioles pitcher to give up nine runs since he did so in his previous stint with the team in 2023. It’s the first time he’s ever given up five homers. He’ll likely face the Twins next.

Gibson will make his 2025 debut tonight in a start against the Yankees. He had a 3.75 ERA and a 13/2 K/BB in 12 innings over his three minor league starts.

Gibson, who signed with the Orioles in late March, returns to the majors having posted a 3.75 ERA and a 13/2 K/BB in 12 innings over three minor league outings. He might offer some AL-only value over the rest of the season, but mixed-league value should elude him.
