Kiké Hernández delivered his fourth homer and walked against the Nationals on Tuesday.
4-for-36, with every hit being a homer. It’s the kind of thing one could see Joey Gallo doing, but not so much Kiké. He’s averaged one homer every 29 at-bats over the course of his career, but he’s currently sporting a .111/.154/.444 line.
Enrique Hernández went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in the Dodgers’ 3-1 win over the Phillies.
Hernández has started five straight games at first base in Freddie Freeman’s absence. He came through for the team with a two-run blast off Aaron Nola in the second inning. The 33-year-old has three hits on the season, all home runs. He’ll likely revert to a bench role upon Freeman’s return.
Kiké Hernández is sick, and it’s unclear if he’ll be back at the ballpark for Opening Day.
Hernández would have been in line to start against Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal. Instead, Miguel Rojas is getting the nod at second base. Chris Taylor remains glued to the bench, even though the Dodgers have faced exclusively lefties in their three games to date.
Enrique Hernández hit a two-run homer and drove in three runs in the Dodgers’ win over the Cubs on Wednesday in the Tokyo Series.
