Jon Heyman confirmed reports that the Angels signed INF Kevin Newman to a one-year deal with a club option for 2026.

The Angels and Kevin Newman are close to a deal, according to Will Sammon and Sam Blum of The Athletic.

Kevin Newman picked up three hits and two RBI in a blowout win Thursday over the Angels.

Kevin Newman went 4-for-5 with a walkoff two-run single in the ninth inning to give the Diamondbacks a 6-5 win Monday over the Reds.
