Outman was released by Pittsburgh making him eligible to be signed by Washington on Saturday. He posted a 4.95 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP in 20 innings at Triple-A Indianapolis last season and hasn't seen time in the majors since 2014. He will function as depth for the Nats and is unlikely to see the majors with them either.

Outman last pitched in the Braves' organization, and was released after recovering from thoracic outlet syndrome. He will be added depth for the Pirates' and even if he makes his way to the big club, he will not be relevant in fantasy.

Outman has missed the entire 2015 season due to thoracic outlet syndrome. However, when healthy, he was effective out of the Yankees bullpen in 2014 to the tune of a 2.86 ERA and 1.41 WHIP. He should find a new home soon.

Outman has yet to pitch for the Braves this season, but figures to receive a call up at some point down the stretch. He has plenty of big league experience and will look to build his stock for next year.
