He was pretty mediocre (4.88 ERA, 37 strikeouts) in 62.2 innings in the big leagues last year, splitting time between the rotation and the bullpen. While his numbers were better in relief (4.32 ERA, 13 strikeouts in 16.2 innings), he still leaves a lot to be desired. He should spend most of 2017 providing organizational depth at Triple-A.

Instead, Mike Foltynewicz get the call on Thursday. De La Cruz is win less, sporting a 0-7 record for the Braves. He alsonhas a unattractive 4.66 ERA and 1.41 WHIP on the season. No word on when his next start will occur.

De La Cruz was knocked out of his last start after being struck on the knee with a line drive, but is healthy enough to make his next start. De La Cruz has been decent this year, but not worth the addition in fantasy.

Cruz was hit in the leg and many thought it was his shin that was harmed, but it was actually a right knee contusion. He's still questionable for his next start.
