Martin is back stateside in Angels’ camp after spending last year overseas with the NC Dinos of the Korea Baseball Organization. The 28-year-old outfielder has appeared in 85 games in the big leagues dating back to 2019. His last stint in the majors came with the Rangers during the 2021 campaign hen he got into a career-high 58 contests.

Martin will head overseas to Korea to rebuild his value after settling for a minor league contract with the Dodgers last year. The 27-year-old old outfielder last appeared in the majors with the Rangers during the 2021 season and hit a respectable .285/.374/.564 with 32 home runs and eight stolen bases across 544 plate appearances last year at Triple-A Oklahoma City. He should excel in Korea.

Martin smacked his solo shot off of Moises Gomez leading off the sixth inning, pulling the Dodgers to within a run at 3-2. It was his only hit in two at-bats on the day. The 26-year-old outfielder hit just .208/.248/.354 with six homers, 17 RBI and a 41/8 K/BB ratio in 154 plate appearances for the Rangers during the 2021 season. He faces a major uphill battle in trying to crack the Dodgers super Opening Day roster.
