He's now off the 40-man roster. Hoyt posted a 6.75 ERA over nine relief appearance with the Halos this season.

Hoyt has a 5.40 ERA and 1.80 WHIP in his 6 2/3 innings with the Halos. He's one of several new arms being brought up by the Angels on Thursday. 

Hoyt was recalled from Triple-A last Sunday, sent back down to Triple-A on Wednesday and now gets another shot with the big league club after Jose Marte hit the injured list. The 34-year-old hurler owns a 5.4 ERA and 1.80 WHIP over 6 2/3 innings with the Angels this season.

The right-hander carried a 5.40 ERA and 1.80 WHIP over 6 2/3 innings at the major league level this season. Hoyt will head back to Salt Lake where he holds an even more concerning 10.41 ERA over 27 2/3 frames.
