Reds signed INF Hernán Pérez to a minor league contract.
Pérez hasn’t appeared in an MLB game in two years, but did post a .836 OPS in Triple-A for the Twins in 2023. He has played in 651 career big league games across 10 different seasons and should serve as organizational depth in case of injuries in 2024.

Pérez is currently playing for Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic and adds some organizational depth for the Twins entering the 2023 campaign. The 31-year-old veteran didn't appear in the majors last season, but has played in 651 career games since 2010. He's a solid depth addition for Minnesota.
Braves signed INF Hernán Pérez to a minor league contract.
Pérez, 31, joins the Braves after spending a brief time in the Mexican League with the Toros de Tijuana. The infielder went 1-for-19 last year for the Nationals before joining the Hanwha Eagles of the Korea Baseball Organization. He'll provide depth in the upper levels for the Braves with an outside chance of helping Atlanta as a utility player before 2022 comes to an end.

The deal was reported a couple of days ago and is now official. Perez will receive a $300,000 salary and $100,000 signing bonus for the remainder of the season. He went 1-for-19 during a stint with the Nationals earlier this season and was more recently in the Brewers minor league season before being granted his release to play overseas.
