2024 Player Outlook
2023 Recap: Albeit in small sample sizes in each go around, Ramos has yet to find his footing in the MLB. Across 25 games last season, he slashed .179/.233/.304 with a 33.3 percent strikeout rate, and 72.4 percent contact rate. When he did make contact, the batted ball metrics are pretty encouraging, as he posted a 13.9 percent barrel rate and 41.7 percent hard hit rate. He posted some pretty gaudy numbers in the lower levels of the minors, but as he progressed, things became a bit more hit-or-miss, and the strikeout rate has remained relatively elevated throughout.
2024 Outlook: He'll open the year on the small side of a platoon at best, and while his raw power is enticing, there's a lot of holes in his offensive profile that need adjusted before that raw power can truly shine. The long-term potential is still there for Ramos, but for 2024, he's not someone you need to prioritize on draft day.
