Félix Peña has re-signed with the Hanwha Eagles in the Korea Baseball Organization.
The 33-year-old right-hander will earn a $650,000 salary, a $200,000 signing bonus and has the ability to earn an additional $200,000 in incentives. Peña made 32 starts with the Eagles in 2023 — going 11-11 with a 3.60 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a 147/59 K/BB ratio over 177 1/3 innings. He hasn’t pitched in the big leagues since the 2021 season.

Peña will make $850,000 this season in Korea. He signed with the Eagles last June, shortly after being released from a minor league contract with the Mets. The 32-year-old righty reliever last appeared in the majors with the Angels during the 2021 campaign.

Peña has a deal lined up with a club in the Korea Baseball Organization. He was sporting a 4.06 ERA and 26/9 K/BB ratio through 31 innings (six starts, two relief appearances) this season with the Mets' Triple-A affiliate.

Peña spent the majority of the 2021 campaign at Triple-A Salt Lake and was eventually released by the Angels in late September. The 32-year-old righty, who has pitched exclusively as a reliever over the last two years, holds a respectable 4.66 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 267/95 K/BB ratio across 260 2/3 innings (104 appearances, 24 starts) at the major-league level since 2016. He'll bolster the Mets' organizational pitching depth this upcoming season.
