2025 Player Outlook
Saying Clase was ridiculously phenomenal in 2024 might still be an understatement. He set the team's single season record with 47 saves last year to go along with a 0.61 ERA, 0.66 WHIP, and a miniscule 3.7 percent walk rate. Clase wreaks havoc with his cutter/slider combo, and it's hard not to love a closer who has a career 61.3 percent ground ball rate! He may not have the big time strikeout rate of other closers, and there's going to be some regression to the mean, but he still deserves to be the first closer off the board. Cleveland is going to win a lot of close games, and Clase seems to be in line for his fourth straight season of 40+ saves.

Gimenez would later come around to score on a sac fly by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. On the night, Clase got five whiffs on 13 swings and threw 16 of his 25 pitches for strikes.
