Rangers sent RHP Edwar Colina outright to Triple-A Round Rock.
Colina was scooped up off waivers from the Twins in early October and will remain with the Rangers as organizational pitching depth moving forward. The 24-year-old righty represents a savvy long-term gamble for the rebuilding organization after he missed the entire 2021 campaign due to right elbow debridement surgery last May.

Colin had been on the 60-day injured list for Minnesota after missing the entire 2021 season due to a right elbow issue, and he'll now move to the 60-day IL in Texas. The 24-year-old right-hander allowed three runs on four hits while recording only one out in his lone MLB appearance back in September 2020.

Colina has been out all season due to a lingering elbow issue and will now be in full-on shutdown mode for at least a couple of months. The 24-year-old seems doubtful to pitch in a game for the Twins in 2021.
