Dylan Moore went 3-for-5 with two homers and four RBI as the Mariners’ leadoff man Tuesday against the Reds.
Both homers came off Nick Lodolo. Moore remains as brutal as ever against righties, but that’s why he hits at the bottom of the order when he plays against them. Against lefties this year, he’s 8-for-19 with four homers and three walks. This was his fourth game ever with two homers and second with five RBI.
Dylan Moore is not in the Mariners’ starting lineup for Friday night’s tilt against the Rangers.
The expectation had been that Moore would see regular starts at third base with Jorge Polanco being limited to designated hitter duties, but on Friday night it’s Miles Mastrobuoni at the hot corner and Leo Rivas starting at second base for the M’s. Expect things to remain fluid for as long as Polanco is unable to play in the field.
Dylan Moore is leading off on Tuesday against the Astros.
Moore gets the first real shot in the leadoff spot for Seattle with Victor Robles likely to miss the rest of the season with a serious left shoulder injury. The versatile 32-year-old super utility specialist has gotten off to an excellent start this year, hitting .381 (8-for-21) with two homers and two steals through nine games. He’s never going to be a strong batting average source, but his power/speed combo and multi-position eligibility makes him a relevant option for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues.
Dylan Moore went 2-for-4 with a homer in a loss to the Giants on Saturday.
Moore was responsible for the only run of the game with a solo shot off Robbie Ray. The 32-year-old slugged an impressive .478 on the road in 2024, which is good. That number was .234 at home, which is also a number.
