Fisher, a former highly-regarded prospect with the Astros just a few years ago, signed a minor league contract with the Twins back in December and never wound up making it to Minnesota. The 28-year-old outfielder hit just .158/.259/.305 with three homers in 108 plate appearances this season for Triple-A St. Paul.

Fisher clocked a solo home run off Carlos Garcia with one out in the seventh inning. For his career, the 28-year-old outfielder is hitting under the Mendoza line in 172 games at the major league level. Look elsewhere for fantasy glory.

This will likely also include an invitation to the major league side of spring training. Fisher made just eight plate appearances at the MLB level in 2021 with the Brewers, though that was partly due to a couple of leg injuries. He's a former supplemental first-round pick of the Astros.

Fisher had been designated for assignment but will remain in the organization after clearing waivers.
