Athletics re-signed RHP Deolis Guerra to a minor league contract.
Guerra was non-tendered by the Athletics in mid-November. He missed the entire 2022 campaign after undergoing Tommy John reconstructive surgery, but is scheduled to be ready to return within the first few months of the 2023 season.

Guerra, who had a 4.11 ERA in 65 2/3 innings for the A's in 2021, underwent Tommy John surgery in mid-April and missed all of last season. He figures to remain sidelined for at least the first month or two of 2023.

The operation was performed by Dr. Keith Meister in Arlington, Texas. He's going to miss the entire 2022 season and likely the first half of the 2023 campaign as well while recovering from the procedure.
Deolis Guerra will undergo surgery on April 13 to repair an ulnar collateral ligament sprain in his right elbow.
It's not clear yet whether he'll need Tommy John surgery or a partial repair. That will be determined on the day of the operation. Either way, he's surely not going to be pitching for the A's this season.
