Evans last appeared in the majors with the Rangers back in 2021. The 26-year-old right-hander compiled a solid 3.82 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 44/22 K/BB ratio across 33 innings (32 appearances) last year at Triple-A Round Rock. He's a worthwhile gamble for the Yankees as extra relief depth.
