Mariners released LHP David Huff.
Huff posted a 5.25 ERA while splitting time between Triple-A Tacoma's bullpen and rotation. The 36-year-old hasn't reached the majors since 2016.
Mariners signed LHP David Huff to a minor league contract.
Huff has eight years of major league experience but hasn't seen any action at the big league level since 2016. The 36-year-old isn't ready to hang up his cleats just yet, though.
The Diamondbacks signed Huff to a minor-league contract Jan. 7.
The 35-year-old lefty was assigned to Triple-A Reno, so he doesn't appear on track to receive an invitation to big-league spring training. Huff made 120 appearances (57 starts) in the majors between 2009 and 2016, compiling a 5.17 ERA across 393.1 career innings between the Indians, Yankees, Giants, Dodgers and Angels. He's spent the past three and half seasons overseas in South Korea and Japan.
Huff signed a one-year, $1.3 million deal with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, the Japan Times reports.
He played the 2017 season with the KBO's LG Twins, and will remain in Asia for the foreseeable future.
