Twins reassigned INF Daniel Robertson to minor league camp.
Robertson hit just .133 (2-for-15) in 10 Grapefruit League games this spring and will open the regular season at Triple-A St. Paul as organizational position player depth. The 28-year-old former first-round pick offers plenty of defensive versatility and should be up with the Twins at some point this season.
Twins signed INF Daniel Robertson to a minor league contract.
The 27-year-old appeared in 50 games with the Brewers during the 2021 season, slashing a cringe-inducing .164/.303/.274 with two homers, four RBI and a 28/12 K/BB ratio over 90 plate appearances. He was then designated for assignment and finished out the year at Triple-A Nashville where he was somehow worse -- slashing just .115/.216/.154 in 88 plate appearances. He'll add minor league infield depth for the Twins.
Giants non-tendered INF Daniel Robertson.
Robertson was acquired by the Giants via trade from the Rays in August and was solid for them down the stretch, but evidently it wasn't enough to give him a raise. His versatility and youth should give him a market.
Giants recalled INF Daniel Robertson from their alternate training site.
The 26-year-old is an infielder by trade but might be needed in the outfield with both Mike Yastrzemski (injury) and Alex Dickerson (paternity leave) out. Robertson has three hits in 13 at-bats with the big club this year.
