2025 Player Outlook

Correa was limited to just 86 games last season due to spending time on the IL for an oblique strain and plantar fasciitis, but across those 86 games, he slashed .310/.388/.517 with 14 home runs, 20 doubles, and 54 RBI. Albeit a smaller sample size, his .517 SLG would have been his highest since 2019, and his 16.6 percent strikeout rate would be the lowest of his career. The veteran shortstop remains an above-average offensive shortstop, and a double-digit walk rate year in and year out makes him incredibly value in OBP leagues. A trip or two the IL is already baked into his price, but if he can get to 130+ games played like he did in each of his first two years with the club, he'll be a phenomenal value at his current ADP. He hasn't stolen a base since 2019, but 20+ home runs and a .270+ batting average is easily in play for Correa in 2025.

Carlos Correa has been scratched from the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Giants.

No word yet on the reason for the move. Correa has dealt with a myriad of physical issues over the last few seasons, but he’s managed to stay mostly healthy this year. There should be an update on his status shortly. It’ll be Brooks Lee taking over at shortstop with Kody Clemens entering the lineup at second base.

Carlos Correa went 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBI on Tuesday as the Twins walloped the Orioles in Minneapolis.

Correa capped off a five-run uprising off of Cade Povich in the third inning with a 458-foot (109.0 mph EV) two-run shot that made it a 5-0 ballgame. He also tacked on a run-scoring single in the seventh inning for good measure. With the three-hit attack, Correa is now hitting .233/.270/.341 to go along with two homers and 12 RBI through his first 35 ballgames on the season.
