2025 Player Outlook
Now a full time first baseman, Bryce Harper is entering his age 32 season, and while we may not get another MVP season out of him he should be able to age quite well with one of the best swings in baseball. The runs and RBI numbers continue to remain lower than you might hope from Harper on a great Philadelphia team, but he should still easily push over 90 for each with about 30 homeruns, potential double-digit steals, and a great average. The health should be less of a worry this season, especially with him locked in at first now, and the floor is incredibly high for Harper as a very safe second or third round option in drafts.
Player News
Bryce Harper is at DH for Sunday’s series finale against the Diamondbacks.
Harper has played all 33 games this season for the Phillies, but he’s been struggling at the dish, hitting .228 (28-for-123) with five homers and six steals. The 32-year-old fantasy star has been going through it of late, batting .179 (10-for-56) with just one homer over his last 15 contests. It’s only a matter of time before he reverts to form, but it’s definitely been a grind for Harper over the past few weeks.
Bryce Harper finished 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts against the Cubs on Friday.
Harper is in a little 1-for-15 slump in his last four games, though it hardly seems like anything to worry about. He’s currently on pace for 31 homers, which seems realistic, and 37 steals, which would be eight more than he had from 2022-24 combined.
Bryce Harper went 2-for-5 with a double, a run scored and two RBI against the Marlins on Sunday.
Bryce Harper went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, two runs scored, and two walks on Wednesday against the Giants.
Harper briefly tied this game up in the fourth inning with his two-run blast after his Phillies trailed 4-0 before the first inning was over. That was all they would get though, as the Giants’ bullpen held them in check. Still, this was one of those quintessential Harper games where it felt like there was simply to way to get him out. He is as steady and reliable as they come.
