Twins signed OF Braden Bishop to a minor league contract and was assigned to Triple-A St. Paul.
Bishop signed a minor league deal with the Diamondbacks in January but after hitting .232/.312/.312 with two home runs and seven swipes in 154 plate appearances was cut loose by the club on June 7.

Bishop inked a minor league contract with the Diamondbacks in January and has been cut loose after hitting .232/.312/.312 with two homers and seven steals in 154 plate appearances this season at Triple-A Reno. The 28-year-old outfielder has appeared in 47 games in the majors since 2019.

Bishop posted an encouraging .318/.382/.531 batting line with 12 home runs and 10 stolen bases in 79 games between the Triple-A affiliates of the Mariners and Giants last season. The 28-year-old outfielder will presumably be invited to the major league side of Diamondbacks camp this spring.

Bishop was designated for assignment by the Giants last Friday, shortly after they claimed him from the Mariners, but he has passed through waivers this time and will remain with the organization at the Triple-A level. The 27-year-old outfielder holds an ugly .133/.188/.156 career batting line in 47 major league games.
