Blaine Hardy has signed with the Sioux City Explorers of the independent American Association.
Hardy made one relief appearance last year with the Brewers and holds a solid 3.78 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 230/103 K/BB ratio across 290 2/3 innings (234 appearances, 13 starts) in the majors since 2014. The 35-year-old lefty spent the first six years of his career with the Tigers before signing with the Brewers last season.
