2024 Player Outlook
2023 Recap: Kittredge missed the last half of the 2022 season and majority of 2023 due to Tommy John surgery, but he did manage to make 14 appearances for the Rays last year. The last full season we saw Kittredge was back in 2021, and he was exceptional that season, winning nine games, notching eight saves, and posting a 1.88 ERA. Upon his return last season, his spin rates and velocity were down a bit, but that's to be expected.
2024 Outlook: With a more "normal" offseason, Kittredge will be an important piece of this bullpen, and he could even step in for a spot start if needed. Pre-surgery, Kittredge boasted a slider that induced a ton of whiffs, and his entire pitch mix generates a ton of swings out of the zone (45.6% O-Swing rate from 2021-2023). He may not be as valuable in fantasy as he will be in reality, but if something were to happen to Ryan Helsley and/or Giovanny Gallegos, the Cardinals should feel comfortable with him in the ninth.
