Mariners signed LHP Andrew Albers to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Albers, who made nine appearances for the Mariners back in 2017, will provide Seattle with some extra relief depth this upcoming season. The 36-year-old veteran lefty surrendered 16 runs on 24 hits (nine home runs) with a 12/9 K/BB ratio across 19 innings (five appearances, two starts) last year at the big-league level with the Twins.
