Adolis García went 1-for-4 with the walk-off two-run homer to power the Rangers to a 4-3 win over the Dodgers on Saturday.
García stepped into the box with one runner on base and no outs, down by one run in the bottom of the ninth. He came through for the Rangers in a big way, launching a walk-off, two-run blast off Kirby Yates to end the game. It was his fourth home run of the season. The 32-year-old outfielder is hitting .229/.304/.471 with nine RBI and four steals across 79 plate appearances.

García had a two-run double in the first and then a solo homer in the fourth, both off Walker Buehler. It’s the first time he’s had three extra-base hits in a game since Aug. 2023, and it was definitely a welcome scene for the Rangers after his poor final five months last season.

That’s García’s third homer of the spring. The outfielder has hit .267/.306/.533 thus far in Arizona, and is a decent bet to bounce back from his disappointing 2024 campaign.

The 32-year-old slugger wasted no time in this one, crushing a two-run shot off of Ryan Feltner in the home half of the first inning to open the score. García finished the evening 1-for-3 and is now hitting an impressive .321 (9-for-28) with a pair of long balls and five RBI.
